Hi  updated to Firmware1.63.5  all seems ok , but should the app on my phone display  have changed ??

I don't think the two are related.

 

There are firmware updates for a couple of models that have rolled out to all users. There are also recent updates to the iOS and Android apps. If your app is up to date then you are eligible for the new app design but that is still being rolled out and could arrive at any time.
