I walked 8000 steps on the treadmill average speed 3.7-3.9 for 60 minutes, have adjusted my stride to 21 inches and it shows only 2.8 miles.  This has happen multiple times.  How can I correct?

How did you come up with 21 inch stride?  On treadmill, Fitbit can only multiply number of steps times stride length.  I just did the math and 8000 steps times 21 inches comes to about 2.65 miles, close to your 2.8, as expected.

If you set your stride to 30 inches, 8000 steps would come to 3.79 miles.  Pay attention to whether you set walking or running stride length.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you I guess I adjusted the wrong way. Treadmill always showed @ that mileage.
