Hi there,

in the excel output for minutes spent sedentarily, there is a default setting for 1440 minutes (which is 60 min x 24 hrs) that you spend sedentarily.

So that means any minutes that you are not sedentary, are subtracted from 1440. However, it seems to me that this can still not be "the real amount of sedentary time" since the minutes spent asleep are not subtracted yet. Am I right here, pls?

So, if I wanted to derive the real value, wouldnt I still have to do that?

This is kind of a problem, since most of the time, the data for minutes asleep is not recorded.

Pls let me know if you have any helpful thoughts on this!

Many thanks in advance!
Noemi

Where do you see the "default setting for 1440 minutes"?

And why do you say sleep time is not subtracted from that?

I added my minutes asleep + minutes awake from sleep tab + all the minutes from the activity tab and come out to nearly 1440.  So I don't see any problem.  It is considering sleep time and awake time during sleep hours both.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi,

thanks for your message.

When the FitBit is not worn, it has a default for 1440 minutes sedentary, but of course not if it is worn. Hope this clarifies!

About you calculations, sounds interesting and is helpful. So you added time awake, time asleep, your light, moderate, and vigorous activity, and also sedentary time? Im just double checking, because you didnt mention that you also added sedentary time in your calculations.

Thanks in advance!
