I had a Fitbit charge 2 and got a new Fitbit.  I synced the old Fitbit and then deleted it from my account and gave the fitbit to my son.  He can't get the Fitbit app to recognize the device now.  Any ideas?

Did you remove it from Your Bluetooth settings on your phone?

 

Also make sure no other fitbits are around when setting up they interfere with each other
