Active minutes tracking while I’m sitting

I had the inspire hr when they first came out and had trouble with active minutes tracking while I was sitting in a chair.

I disconnected, reconnected, restarted and everything else I could think of.

I ended up returning the tracker. I decided today to try again in hope that the issue had been fixed. I’m having the same issue with the one I purchased today. 31 active minutes while I’m sitting in a chair.

I don’t want to have to return this one but may have to.

Active minutes are given for exercise intensity as measured by heart rate, regardless of what one is doing.  Is your heart rate during these times especially high, either actual or just as measured by the tracker?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@Crbeasley9  Have you checked your HR manually against the Inspire..  I notice you have been with Fitbit for awhile so you would be aware of the issues unless this is your first HR Fitbit.

Also double check you physical attributes because it's all about Calories burned over time.. and your Fitbit measured HR will be causing this.

If you are recording your sleep I would create a manual activity for your sleep period and examine that HR. There can be a bug if you are reporting a time which includes midnight.. If you get the error just record it as 12:05 start time.  Fitbit are aware of this.

Keep in mind that Active minutes are only generated for spurts of 10 minutes of continuous measured calories by 3 times your BMR which you can calculate using this calculator and dividing the result by 1440 minutes to give you the /minute BMR.

It's odd that it's the 2nd Inspire..

I had an odd problem the other day and took the results to me doctor..  My HR was averaging about 81 for most of my waking hours and 72 while asleep.  My typical sleeping HR is 54 and during the day in the high 50's. The doctor checked me over and said if it occurs again I have to come in immediately. I noticed he typed Tachycardia in my records.  Even though the HR was well within normal, for my body, it wasn't.

Here is an example of my active minutes from the PC Activity Log using the BMR as a measure.

Mine is doing the same thing. Giving me credit for peak zone minutes at a time I was at my desk at work.

What is up with this? I got active zone minutes while sitting today… several times at my desk and once on the couch.
