Auto-recognition of 'Spinning'/'Exercise Bike' Activity

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Is there a way of triggering this to occur ? A specific action or gesture or something ? Or would it help to wear the device on my ankle ?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

@MTR2022   Spinning/Exercise Bike isn't auto-recognized on any Fitbit.  You should use the Exercise app with the Spinning shortcut.

It's frustrating that I can go on my spin bike and have that autodetected as 'Outdoor Bike'. Did nobody think to implement a prompt which recognises that specific activity, notes that the GPS signal is good and *you are not moving*, and then either silently autodetects the activity as 'Exercise Bike', or pushes a prompt to ask if we are on a spin/exercise bike (or treadmill) ?

@MTR2022   I looked at your profile and see that you are a new user.  It's a quirk that your spinning is getting auto recognized.  This is not by design.  So I can see why you are frustrated.  SmartTrack, the auto recognition feature, senses the following activities: walk, run, outdoor bike, elliptical, sports, aerobic workout, ans swimming.  Use the Exercise app for other activities.  Please see this Help article: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Here is some more information to help you become familiar with your Fitbit.  Tap on your profile avatar on your mobile app > your Inspire 2 image > How To Use.  When I tap on that for my Versa 3, there is a link to the manual at the very bottom.  I hope you will become less frustrated as you become more familiar with your Inspire 2.
