Hello,
i have my new Inspire and I’m still on the first week. During the day I am wearing the clip and it seems fine...just like my Fitbit One. It tracks my steps accurately (although no stairs any more😞).
but I’m confused about the sleep. The first two nights it automatically recorded dats....when I went to sleep and when I got up. The third day I realized there was an ‘on clip’ setting so I changed it. That night it didn’t record my sleep. I manually entered the times into the sleep log but it’s not showing any restlessness or awake times and I know I was up.
Questions- I’m wearing the fitbit around my ankle using the sleep band. Is this not recommended?
also do I change it back to ‘wrist’ at night?
I really liked the automatic sleep tracking...it was so much easier than the logging times every day. How do I get that back?
thanks

Nice to see you again on the Forums @Maxsmum2006 . Congrats on your new Fitbit Inspire, this is a great model.
Thanks for your feedback about Fitbit Inspire tracking. Your Fitbit should be tracking automatically your sleep time. About your inquiry regarding to using a sleep band, you just need to use the wristbands and wear your Fitbit at night to track your sleep information. It should be able to track sleep using both option, "on wrist" and "on clip".
I'd recommend to restart your Fitbit Inspire. And to see your sleep stats, sync your tracker when you wake up and check the app. You may need to wait a few minutes to see your sleep stats while the Fitbit app analyzes your sleep data.
Fitbit Inspire was designed to be worn on a clip on the dorso of your body or in your wrist, using your Fitbit on the ankle might affect its accuracy. You can read more about it here: How accurate are Fitbit devices?
