Band not attaching to FitBit Inspire

On 2 occasions I almost lost my Inspire when the band detached from the device.  Now it will not hold at all so I cannot wear it.  It is not the band or pin but the actual housing to the device.  One corner appears to have no hole for the pin to pop into.  The device was purchased in June.  I need a replacement device.

Did they actually follow through and replace your device? I’ve been fighting with them for over a week and they are saying they aren’t going to make it right. I’m so frustrated with them!

Yes they did. I sent pictures. It is a really bad design and the plastic
body is not very hardy. They should have stayed with the metal clips as
with the Fitbit Alta.

Yes they did.  I received it as promised.  The design is really flawed and I see the same thing happening with this device.  The Alta had metal clips holding the device.  Much more secure.

I completely agree about the design. Their solution is for me to give them feedback on the community forum and that info will help them improve their product based upon dissatisfaction of the consumer.
So they sent you another inspire or....?

So to clarify, they sent you a new inspire or a different model that was designed better?

Yes, another inspire. I like to change bands so trying to do that a lot less. Maybe it will last longer. The Alta only lasted 2 years. Hopefully I can get 2 years out of this one

With the design being so bad, how are you able to switch out the bands? I’m having such a difficult time with the tiny pins and the tight place you have to get in to just to swap out the bands. I bought the inspire hrs lilac and IV not been able to wear it for the past month because of the mechanism they have for this model. I bought a ton of bands but now it’s just sitting in a pile 😞 I’m so unhappy with, not only the design but also with the way I’m being treated by customer service!

There is a knack to it. Two handed process. If this one deteriorates like
the last one, I may just get the clip enclosure and use it that way.
