Has anybody had their Fitbit break where the pin attaches to the actual Fitbit?

Would like to avoid having to buy a new one but not sure it can be fixed.

Hi @m.currie902 you still under warranty? If not, why not get the optional clip and wear the Inspire that way? It's just the pebble part going into a clip that can be placed in a pocket or waistband.

I had the same thing happen.  I did put it in the clip, but that doesn't track sleep. Do you know if I just have to buy a new one?  Or tape?  Tacky, tacky.

mine just broke off too. I've never changed straps so its not like its been weakened through use - it just broke as i was undoing the strap.

My sons broke also and he has hardly used it. It is broken on the watch part and appears to be split and the band just pops out. Very poor quality.  It is still under warranty so I will try to return it.

I bought a FitBit Charge 4 for my wife in May 2021. Hers broke the same way a couple weeks ago. Thanks for starting this thread. I'll try to figure out how to contact Customer Service.

The same thing has happened to me. I rarely take the band out, but the plastic part where it grips the pin just cracked. And I was just walking out of the office, hadn't touched it or anything. Now it's hanging open at an obtuse angle. I was thinking about gluing it but that seems like a poor choice. Any help from customer service is greatly appreciated. I really love my Inspire quite a bit and would hate to just throw it away.

Fitbit contacted me to see if my device was still under warranty and unfortunately it is not, HOWEVER, they gave me a sizable discount towards a new one which is SUPER nice. That is really great service and goes a long way to ensuring customer loyalty. Thank you so much 🙂

These devices are just not suitable for small wrists. I went through 3-4 of them and they broke in exactly the same spot. I finally gave up and switched to Garmin.

Agree, I’m on my second replacement but expect it will last 6 months. It’s a design fault and you’d think they’d change the wristband for a fixed one as they are obviously aware this happens.
