Calorie count when item barcode scanned

Hi, can anybody help please?

I'm new to using a fitbit. When I scan the barcode of a food item, the calorie logs one food amount of calories and the item label says a different amount of calories. Always higher on the food label for the same serving size. Why is that? Also, Do I use the higher count (I have been using) or the lower one 🤣 I don't understand why they are different 🤔. For Example Heinz Vegetable soup scans at 180 cals for 2 servings, (one being half a can) but the soup label says 240? T. I. A 😊👌 👍
