Hi there! I just purchased the new FitBit InspireHR (and I love it), but I am noticing a discrepancy between the calories burned on the watch itself versus what my app is telling me after it's synced. Just before midnight this evening, my watch said I had burned around 2,500 calories, but when I synced my watch the app said I had burned 3,193 calories! I wish I had taken a picture of those two readings, as that is a pretty large gap in information. I did however get some snapshots about an hour later, and even after only about 60 minutes there is a pretty large discrepancy. It would seem that the watch is giving me an accurate reading, whereas the app is inflating my results somehow. I had my old fitbit for a little over a year before I replaced it with the InspireHR the other day, but I removed the old one from the app interface yesterday. I have logged out of the app, and it is updated to the latest version (2.90). I have synced many times, but the numbers never match. Can you please let me know what may be wrong? (The two photos were taken within milliseconds of each other)

I'm having the same issues. My Fitbit device says I burned 3500 calories but when it tries to sync the info to my cell. It shoots up to around 4500+ for good knows why. It reverts back to normal if I sync again and it keeps fluctuating until the heartbeat is synced live to app. As a result all my calorie reading from yesterday and today got inflated by 800-1000. I'm trying to cut my weight and trying to be in deficit but this crappy machine-app connection makes me wanna throw it away. Just bought 3 days ago. The hype behind this product is meh.

Having same issues until i removed Mobile Track from my phone. Now I am not clever enough to know if this was the right thing to do or not and what consequence this will have.

I'm having the same problem. Fitbit is at 875 calories burned but the app shows 1,106. Yesterday the difference was around 500 calories by the end of the day.

OK, I SEEM to have sorted it x
Switched of Bluetooth, disconnected device, switched of phone COMPLETELY
Loaded up phone, reconnected device BEFORE switching on bluetooth (it will request you switch it on during process)
It now seems to be synching regularly, accepting me setting alarms and, more importantly both my phone and my Fitbit agree to the number of step, calories, distance etc
I have to thank Nelly for helping me get this sorted, she helped me two years ago when I had a problem with my Flex2 and she helped me this week - A STAR!!

I have the same issue. It might be something with being a new product so hopefully they can fix the app?

I tried disconnecting and redoing the set up. It is still off by almost 2000 calories. I am trying to lose weight so want to know about how many more calories I am burning than consuming. Which is accurate? The device or the app? (App reads way higher calories burned)

Hi all. Thanks for taking the time to report these discrepancies.
Usually, when the app and tracker are showing different statistics, the discrepancy can be related to syncing issues. If you have not done so already, I recommend performing each of the steps detailed in this article to make sure your Inspire/HR is syncing correctly.
It seems @Pharmtech had some luck by resetting their phone and reestablishing the Bluetooth connection to their tracker. So, I would go ahead and forget your Inspire/HR in your phones Bluetooth settings and reestablish the pairing.
Hoping these steps help to get those stats to match up! Feel free to let me know how it goes.

Sadly, that didn’t work for me. And can I just say something about that short charging cord?!?

Hi, I've had the inspire HR on for two days now and my app is showing a significant more amount of calories burned to what my inspire says, by about 500-600 calories. Syncing doesn't affect it, uninstalling the app and logging out and back in doesn't either.
Any ideas????
It's really frustrating as the data is just incorrect.
Thanks

Have you been manually logging any workouts?

Yesterday I didn't but today I did, although that isn't the variance on the two numbers. Currently on 1, 908 on my device, and 2, 449 on the app. The exercise logged only accounts for 258

Also sometimes it's correct, then I refresh and it adds the 500/600 back on
