Change date format on clock face - international format

Is there a way to change the date format on the clock face?  I was able to change my Charge 2 to display it as day/month, rather than the USA format of month/day, but can´t work out how to do it on this one.

Wish i had the answer for you. I looked at possibly everywhere I could and I do not see where something like this could be changed. Of course you never know if you suggest a feature they might do it.

Yeah I was looking for this too. Kind of annoying that they only support the American format.

@beri @sailorbear510 @Mk4y   I am going to try and get an answer for this for you by reaching out to international members of the Community Council.  International date format is listed as an Existing Feature.  But I am wondering if the newness of the Inspire/Inspire HR is a factor.

thank you

I actually posted this as a feature suggestion, but after a while it was removed by a moderator for being an 'existing feature'.

The mod did not reply when I messaged them about it.

@NellyG   You are very active in this forum.  Do you have any insight as to why users cannot get DD|MM format on inspire clocks, even with correct location?  (Meaning ANY place other than the US.)

I actually got it working by setting my location to The Netherlands.
am from The Netherlands, but I prefer the English language, so I had it set to UK before.

What I don't understand is why that didn't work, because in the UK they also use DD/MM right?

I hope it's possible to change the date format without changing the language of the Fitbit device, because Dutch is a very clunky language and the text doens't really fit well on the tiny display.

Hi everyone. Let me help you changing your date format on your device.

You can check the steps suggested here: How do I change the time on my Fitbit device? Make sure to change the location of your Fitbit account to a country that uses the international date format.

Let me know how it goes.

I have always been in a country (UK) that uses DD/MM date format , and still am, and my app and software is up to date, but all clock faces for the inspire are still only available in american date format.

Plus the link you provided only gives directions on changing the time, not the date format.

this really is no help - I’m in the UK, everything set up correctly but all dates are US format. The page just shows the time and not the date

Moderator edit: format

Hi @Eileen24, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback regarding date format with us. This feature already exists, you can find more information about it here: How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?

This will not work tried on the app and dashboard and date is still in mm/Dd this is useless unless you understand the American date format.

I've still not been able to change it either.  If they had just said 'no sorry, these fitbits are set up for US date format only' I would have bought a different version that will allow normal date format.

I'm really angry at the repeated false responses from fitbit, this was my fourth fitbit but now I wont be buying another.

Has the content of that link changed? It doesn't answer the question any more!

To me it's not changed and think most people are saying that as well

I tried this. I found that I could change my time zone, which I already knew. However it would not change the date format to the correct dd/mm format which we use in the U.K. despite the device being set to London United Kingdom and language English. Why does there seem to be no way to correct the date format to that used by most of the world? I didn’t have this problem with my old Alta which sadly died.

This only changes the time and not the date.

Hi. Is there a solution yet? Got the Ace2 for 9 year old son and now he’s confused with dates... thanks

Best Answer

ANSWER - and it worked.

Go to:-

*Clock faces (I have bitmoji, hopefully others will work too)

*Select your watch face.

* Settings

* Format

You can then change from

MM/DD to DD/MM

Hope that helps, this has been driving me crazy.

Sorry didnt realise this was in a certain group. However I cany delete the post. Sorry if this doesnt work for you.

Is this a clock face for the Inspire HQ?

I can select all kinds of clock face but not this one and once selected it is not offering me any settings to change the date format on the clock face. 😞

The answers from fitbit support are horrendous.... How is that even support? They don't seem to read the question even.
