Completely random distance recording with Inspire HR

Inspire HR and using Samsung S9

I record runs using the Fitbit App and it suggests I have run 4.7km but when I click onto the map it is actually 4.17km. I have measured it out using various mapping tools and it averages 4.16km so not sure why the two different distances are recorded.

The Inspire HR records while running but is averaging about 1km short each time and has recorded this run at around 3.14k.

I saw a post from several years ago that 'Fitbit are aware of this issue' so I'm curious what the update to this is and how to fix it.

@ghostmark2005 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with the discrepancy you are seeing on your distance data. Not sure why this is happening with the app showing two distances. Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Regarding the tracker's distance detection, your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.

Let me know how it goes.
