Just cycled a 10k and it has tracked it through my watch and it appears on strava but when i go on the fitbit app it won't update the km distance. How can i resolve this?

If you are talking about the daily distance total, that is for step-based activities (walking, running) only and does  not include biking.

Do you have it set up to connect to phone's GPS, and have phone with you?  That's the only way biking can get distance.
