I walked this morning and my Inspire HR recognized the walk but it did not add it to my daily exercise goal. If I go manually add my walk now, it will double count those steps. How can I get it to count for my daily exercise? Also, when I go for a walk or do another exercise,  is it better to start and stop the activity maunally or just let the band auto recognize the activity?

Generally, I think it is more reliable to use the Exercise App, i.e. start and stop manually to be sure it gets the right exercise type and the full time of the workout;  however for walks, auto-recognize generally gets it right.

For today's walk, I don't quite understand.  When you say this morning's walk was recognized, do you mean it is listed as a workout if you tap on the exercise tile on phone app?  And if so, do you mean it did not increase the number of days of exercise this week, even if you waited a bit and synced it again?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Yes. If I click the exercise tile it shows that I walked but it did not increase the number of days exercised. I've synched it several times but it still hasn't added it. My walk was several hours ago.
