We have had discussions on here before about how most data is biased towards men and their biology but I’m surprised how little Fitbit takes the menstrual cycle into account, thoughts?

Hello @lorenma and welcome to the Community. Fitbit reports the VO2max and fitness levels based on sex and age range. On the surface, I have to say that the data isn't biased towards men. I get a cardio fitness score for women my age.
With respect to menstrual cycle, I will share this information with you. My background is physiology and I did a brief search of the physiology literature. It is true that your individual VO2max can change with different phases of the menstrual cycle. However, when you look at studies involving a larger number of women, the difference doesn't seem to be statistically significant.
