Hi there!
My dad and I both got fitbit inspire hr's for Christmas, and after using it several times to work out, I am concerned about the heart rate accuracy. I quickly noticed that as I begin a workout, and as my heartrate intensifies, the fitbit heart bpm stays the same. Then, after 1-2 minutes, it jumps suddenly to a the higher, accurate heart rate. I've noticed this when walking up a hill and when starting a run on an elliptical. I have been using a chest band heart rate monitor for several years, and when I used them both the fitbit was 20-30 bpm too low for the first 1-2 minutes of my workout. The main reason I got the fitbit was for this feature, so I'm disappointed. My dad's seems to exhibit the same problem. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Hannah

@Hjohnson37 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your heart rate reading on your Inspire HR. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi there!
Thanks for the response! I noticed this issue with the heart rate on my fitbit the first day I was using it, so I don't think it's a cleaning issue. I will try some of the other tips of restarting and turning it off to see if that helps and report back!
