Hello my fitbit inspire does not recognize the excercise automatically. Does anyone had this problem and solved it?

I have that problem and also when I manually add it - it does not give me any active minutes.

I've been faced with the same issue which is what brought me here.  Can't figure out what the issue is.

@Janakrasa @MaryPatricia @Ram0780 Thanks for stopping by!

@Ram0780 Sorry to hear about this and thank you for the feedback. To everyone here, your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack and it requires constant movement for usually at least 10 minutes to detect an activity(you can change this but 10 minutes is the minimum required). For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the information and no it doesn't help my situation.   My device has been tracking my activities and just stopped.  I didn't change any of the settings it just stopped capturing the data.  Was an update completed that threw the updates off?  And if I purchased a device that is supposed to capture my workouts why would I enter those updates manually? I didn't purchase this device for manual input but for an automated update.
