Fitbit Inspire Hr Water Damage?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve had my inspire Hr for a little over a year & it just completley went black after a swim in a pool. i’ve always been super  careful with it & this is one of the only times i’ve went swimming with it. I can see condensation on the bottom sensors and as well as a water drop at the top. This is disappointing because i’ve recommended fitbit to all my friends & now i’m out a watch.

I bought 3 of these as Christmas gifts for grandkids. One of the girls wore it swimming at a hotel during Spring break and now it doesn't work. I put it in rice hoping that would suck out the water but it didn't help. This is so maddening, they aren't cheap.

You’re supposed to be able to swim with it on. That’s why I bought this one over others.

This just happened to me as well. I have worn it swimming last summer with no issue. Got wet yesterday and now is completely dead. It is not even a year old. I chose this one so that i could wear it swimming. Really disappointed.

I called Fitbit. They said they would replace it if I send it back. I did and now am waiting to hear that they received it and have sent a nee one. The guy I spoke with was very nice and helpful. We'll see what happens. Send yours back.Sent from my Galaxy

How long have you had yours? I’ve had mine for a year and a half so according to whomever I spoke with, it’s out of warranty.

I bought 3 as gifts for grandkids at Christmas so not too long. They are still under warranty. The year the Blaze came out I had preordered one for my husband. It lasted one year and quit. I called the company and was told the warranty was up. I was not very nice when they said there was nothing they could do. They finally agreed to replace it. When the replacement arrived it would not charge. I swore I  would never buy another fitbit. I guess I'm a slow learner.Sent from my Galaxy

I called the company. They sent me a return label via email so I could send it back. It took about 6 weeks but they did send another one after they received mine.Sent from my Galaxy

Sorry. It's too bad the company doesn't do a better job of making their product. We are such a throw away society.Sent from my Galaxy

Same exact thing just happened to me and the reason I bought it was because it was supposed to be water proof to 50 feet!

Same happening to mine. It wont re set. Had it just over a year  my last one didn't last much longer than that. Whats the point having a fitbit if they need replacing nearly every year. May have to to look at other products

Having to replace your fitbit every year is called job security for the makers of fitbitSent from my Galaxy

I’ve had the same exact problem. I got my Fitbit almost 2 years ago and never once put it in water because that is how my previous one broke. However, this year I’ve been swimming a lot and it’s been a hassle to have to run it to a safe place every time I go so I did some research and found that it is meant to be very durable in the water for up to 50 meters. I then took it swimming in a lake and a pool (obviously not going very deep) and it just about lost all it’s battery when it had usually been able to stay at a high percentage for several days in a row. Charging took the whole night and after I wore it to the pool the following day, I found condensation at the bottom and the screen had blacked out. It now won’t charge or react when I click the button on the side. My Fitbit app, however, still claims that the watch is at 100% battery.

Swam yesterday with mine on too. The time would show and when I press the button on the side, the smile icon would show. So I charged it overnight, now my screen does not display, it does vibrate when I get a notification, just can’t see the screen. I did a chat with support and they had me do a reset, didn’t change anything. So now I’m waiting on an email from support to let me know what to do next.
