Fitbit desire not charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit desire won't charge. Daughter's device since christmas 2019. Her sister has same device, bought at same time. Tried all the suggestions on the relevant threads (clean the contacts, press for 5 secs etc.,) on 2 different chargers. Tried resetting with USB cable plugged in etc. Nothing... No smiley face or anything. Device down to 5% at moment. Think issue with device itself (as said, the other girls one is fine). Is there any other trick to try?... Like let the battery go dead?

Thanks for the reply on email, but it didn't resolve my issue.

The issue is that it is not charging so the suggestion to plug it in and charge wasn't very helpful.

I have twins, both have the same watch since Christmas. They wear every day and charge as necessary with no issues to date.  When connected to the charger last night she noted it wasn't charging / or at least, charging as normal. She tried her sisters charger and same issue. They swapped devices and her sisters charged as normal with both of the charging leads. Charging leads are the ones that came with the fitbit. So can rule out the leads as the issue. Fitbit inspire is now fully dead and we have reconnected and no change in the state, as in it is still dead with no signs that it is charging. We have cleaned the connections, but to be honest, they weren't exactly dirty. I tried resetting with the USB cable connected and plugged in, holding the button for 5 secs etc. but no joy. Unless there is some trick to rebooting the device to see will it start charging, I believe there is a fault with the device itself.
