Hi I brought a fitbit inspire today why can't I add it to my old account

What problem are you getting?

 

What other fitbit do you have connected to your account? Some combinations of fitbits are not allowed and the Inspire can't be connected to an account that already has a Charge 3, Versa or Ionic

Hi I'm just trying to set up the new fit bit but won't let me as I use my email for the old one. Not sure what the old one was sorry

ok. That sounds like you are trying to set up a new fitbit account for your new tracker. There's no need to do this. Instead, you need to logon using the email and password you used for your old tracker. Then, in the account section of the app you select "set up a device". It will then step you through the process of adding the Inspire to your account. This way you'll keep all your old data, badges, settings etc.

 

If you'd rather start afresh with the Inspire then the easiest way would be to create a new account but, as you have found, this will require using a different email.

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding.

 

You've logged onto your account ok. You've selected "set up a device" in the app. But adding the Inspire has failed? If so, at what point is it failing and what error are you getting?
