Fitbit is stuck on step count

My Insoire HR is stuck on the step count and won't allow me to look at calories, heart rate or anything else.   Any suggestions?  I can see the time too. That is it.

Hi @JShelley2010 welcome to the Community Forums. Thank you for reporting the issues with your Inspire HR.

In this case I'd recommend to restart your Fitbit with these instructions:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Your tracker should now work normally. If your tracker still doesn't work after a restart, contact me back so we can check the next step.

I'll be around in case that you need anything else.

Mine is doing the same thing.  Tried to restart as directed.  NO LUCK!

Any more suggestions.  I was so hopeful about your last one.

My fitbit battery needed charged after charging it is stuck on the same steps it was before I charged it. I have tried holding the button as instructed for someone else in the feed. But still nothing. Which not good because we are doing a steps challenge for work

I have had the same issue, but not always on step count.  Mine will periodically get stuck in some mode or randomly quit counting steps.  It quit logging stairs soon after I got it, which was about 6 months ago.  That function has not returned. Usually when it starts acting oddly (which is all too frequently), I can plug it in and force a restart.  This action does work; but in my case, I have had enough.  I just got a Garmin Vivomove HR and am testing it out for better reliability.
