Fitbit only logging part of bike ride

My Fitbit Inspire HR only logged part of my ride this morning. Nothing was tracked for about 5 miles from when I left my apartment to a random point on my route where it started to track normally. On the route map the GPS goes in a direct line from my start to that random point, which is not even close to the route I took. 

Has anyone had this issue, and if so have you been able to fix it?

I have had this issue as well, with straight lines across lakes. What I found, though, was that the actual distance was correct -- just the map was faulty. I've not found a real fix, though resetting the device before the exercise helps -- sometimes. Unfortunately it still glitches.
