Hi. I have had my inspire for a couple months and the HR suddenly stopped working. Rebooted it multiple times and I still can’t get it to work. Very disappointing

Mine stopped working on 24th July. I tried chatting to support, but there is very little help, more misdirection. I tried some solutions mentioned on the community forums and still no luck.
I tried:
- restarting several times,
- restarting with HR ON, restarting with HR OFF, restarting with HR ON again,
- deleting device and pairing again,
- clearing user data from the device,
- upgrading to latest firmware (apparently it's 34.20001.63.5),
Nothing seems to help. The green LEDs at the back are blinking but then switch off after 10-20 seconds. When I move the device, they start blinking again and HR works for a brief moment, but then device seems to go to sleep and HR stops.
Support advised: "We’re currently working to resolve this issue and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. What I can do is to include your case in the list of those affected with this issue."
Apparently issue reference is 37123409, but I have no way to check it. Very frustrating when
