Help: My Inspire stopped tracking my Hourly count.

My inspire is not counting/tracking my 250 hourly steps. It's just stopped doing that. My preferences are set for it. I have turned it off and restatrted. I see in settings I can reset my information, but does doing any reset delete prior information? Has anybody else had this trouble?

This just started today; it counted the first hour and now is not tracking them. Help please?

Is it not tracking them on the device itself or on the Fitbit app?

It was not tracking on the Fitbit itself. My Inspire, the "regular model, not HR is set by preferences to show my 13 hours of 250 steps hourly. When I am within 10 minutes of the hour, it vibrates to let me know this. it tracks and counts them every hour, just as the rest of the information is there. It's fine again now, but it was not counting them. Thanks for responding.

It was not tracking on the device itself. It was fully charged, and normally tracks for me. Must have been a glitch somewhere, It's fine now. Thank you for your feedback.

Same for me. Did yours spontaneously recover the missing steps/active minutes?  I have tried everything - rebooting the device, removing my inspire HR from the app, removing the Bluetooth linkup, restarting my phone, etc. It is the device itself that has just lost my morning run - really irritating.

It works randomly. It may work one time in 5.

corrinnk,

   Have heard that problem from several people. My problem was with the 'original' Inspire. Still miss my old Fitbit One; it was the best. My trouble corrected after I shut it off another time and is fine now.

ketaran;

   Thanks for the reply. I still think the older (early) models were far better than the "new & improved" models. My Inspire (not HR) was fine after a couple hours; and it usually is - when it HAS done this in past, turning it off usually works.

me too.  Miss the tracking the inspire used to do and the flight of step count.  Did the system upgrade required and fitbit took those options away

Hi myleuker;

  My Inspire was probably a newer version, as it didn't ever count flights that I know of. My Fitbit One ALWAYS did. I really wish they didn't do away with that model; it was the best & easiest for me to use. I could track all my walking, distance, flights of stairs, and it, too, had a 'prompt' if I was sitting to long or idle. I enjoy this one allows me to set it for 13 hourly counts of 250 to help me get steps in, but I miss the flights of stairs being counted. I never looked though to see if it had that; because it wasn't listed in the information when I shopped for a new Fitbit. I could have gotten other Fitbit Ones at other locations, but I was worried about them not being 'authentic' or having trouble. The only other reason I got this was the waterproof factor - but then COVID reared its ugly head, so I never got to the pool anyway........
