How do you decide when to upgrade?

So I've had my Inspire for 3ish years and it still functions perfectly fine, though suffering a tiny bit of wear and tear. But I'm wondering when to upgrade and if it's necessary. Anyone else contemplating the same thing? What makes you stick with the model you have?

Good question @thisisfit_leigh and you're going to get so many unique responses, I'm sure. For me, when my Alta HR's screen was getting too dim to read in the light, it was time. I tend to keep a device until it seems to be close to the end of life or there is an issue, like the screen. Three years is a good life for the Inspire, but there's nothing wrong with looking at what you'll do when that one finally dies of old age. Seems you take good care of your Fitbit, which is great. Look at sales, which are happen on Fitbit.com and local retailers and see which device you'd like to ultimately get to replace  your Inspire.

Thank you! Good idea, considering to make the change when there’s more of an actual decline in function.
