How to track GPS map for walks?

Does anyone else have the issue with the inspire HR that you have to have the Fitbit app open in order for the map route to be picked up? If I close the app on my phone the walk exercise I select on my watch still records the distance but when I end the exercise and sync there will be no map or just one line

Let me help you with tracking GPS maps for your walks using the Fitbit app. The app must be running as it uses your phone's GPS chip to record this data. Now if mean that you need to have the app with the phone's screen on then the issue may be with the phone configuration. Check there aren't any battery saving apps that may stop the app from running in the background and retry recording your GPS data. You can read more about this feature called Connected GPS here.
