Inconsistent GPS data using Inspire HR and Fitbit app

Hi.

 

Recently I've noticed that the gps data are inconsistent. 

 

I'm walking same route and each time it shows different distance. From 4,5km to 6,5km. Exact distance is 6,1km.

 

When I've confronted other runs and walks with Google maps it shows differences from 10% to 33%.

 

What can be reason of that.

@AdrianK89 I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with the inconsistencies you are seeing on your GPS data. Since your tracker uses your phone's GPS chip I suggest you refresh the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
