I have an inspire2. The device always had a problem connecting to the app. It would take forever. Recently I noticed the time had changed. So I tried to sync it to the app to reset the time. For some reason I have to set it up as a new device. So I follow the instructions. It just won't connect to the app. I've done everything - start this, shut that, reboot that, uninstall this, reinstall that, update something else..you the get the point. It won't connect.
Did I mention that all my synced data is lost?

Hi, @Xantifarm , you mention that you had to set up your Fitbit as a new device and that all your synced data is lost. This suggests to me that you logged in using the wrong email address (is it possible that you have 2 Fitbit accounts - or created a second one as you were re-setting up your old Inspire 2?).
If you had to set up a Fitbit as a new device I would also expect that any UNsynced data would be lost. Previously synced data would not be lost.
Sync problems are not unusual, so it would not surprise me if an older Fitbit device (e.g. the Inspire 2) were to have some syncing/connectivity issues. However total old data loss is extremely rare and almost always is a failure to log in to the correct account. Usually when a user finds their correct account they find that their data is there.
I hope this helps. Please do post again if you need any further help or require more clarification. Welcome to the Community forums!
