Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @steffiamelia

Thank you for sharing that you've been having this inconvenience with your Inspire 2 and that you already checked the brightness settings.

In addition to the brightness, please make sure that you've tried the restart procedure as described in this article. If you haven't done so already, please check if you have the Do Not Disturb Mode and Sleep Mode features activated, as they automatically make the screen darker as well.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.

good advice if you can see the screen!  the screen is too dark to read or adjust the settings.

I wish there was a way to adjust the settings from my dashboard!

@mb0061 Thank you for sharing your feedback and experience with this.

Unfortunately these settings I mentioned are only available through the Fitbit app. If the screen is too dark to complete any of the steps mentioned earlier or if you were able to complete the steps and the screen continues to be dark, I do recommend that your get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. They will let you know how to proceed.

Does not work, i cant even reset it anymore to the point where the time returns. When you try to reset it  the smiley face pops up 2 or 3 times and it goes dark.

My screen no longer works either. I have to rely on my phone. Poor. I won’t
buy again

same here!   the wrist candy tracks, but the screen is useless. I cannot even see the clock. Can only see my progress on my phone or dashboard.
This is the 4th model of Fitbit I have had since I started tracking my steps; they never last more than 15 - 18 months,  Time to move on to a different brand

@Mzharris77 Thanks for sharing that you've been having a similar problem.

If you're still able to see the logo it's possible that you have the Dim screen setting on, as @jt2022 mentioned earlier.

Swipe down from the device's clock, and tap on the Settings icon. Toggle Dim Screen to Off.

that was the whole problem, I was unable to see the screen to adjust the settings.
In frustration, I finally gave up and threw the fitbit into the garbage.
4 different models in 5 years, each with their own shortcomings and failures.  I am done with FITBITs.

I solved mine and shared the fix you mention: turn off dim screen.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue, I’ve noticed it in the past couple of months. I’ve checked all the settings, it’s not in dim mode, not in sleep mode, and have rebooted several times.  If I’m inside it’s okay (but not great), but outside it’s completely unreadable. Are there any other tricks to try or settings to check?

that's exactly where I am . I don't know why the light is so dim and I
really would hate to buy another one.

best solution I found was to close my eyes, cut my losses, and throw it in
the trash!

Haven't looked back

nope, no more fit bits for me!

The Inspire was my 4th or 5th model for me in about as many years. They
all failed me after just a few months or so. The Inspire, which was the
most expensive, barely made it to a year.

Despite clearly explaining what the issue was, I continued to get the same
advice on how to restore it to its glory! But, gee, if you cannot see
anything on the screen, how are we to reset?

In frustration, I finally bit the bullet, closed my eyes, and dropped my
Inspire into the trash bin. That was * 4 or 5 (various models) fitbits for
me in as many years, and I solemnly vowed to not put another dime into
their pockets!

Have a great day!
