Inspire 2 is overcounting my steps

I've only had my fitbit for ten months and I feel like it is overcounting my steps and giving an inaccurate step count to mfp. What should I do?

I'm considering buying the latest model of fitbit, but am unsure whether that is a good idea when I'm struggling with my current model, like would I have the same problem with the newer model?

Hi there, @sugarfreesqu. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with our Inspire 2. I understand where your concern is coming from.

If you haven't done so yet, please confirm that the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, please see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

As for a newer Fitbit device model, we recommend checking out our comparison page at https://www.fitbit.com/compare, where you can see at a glance the features that each Fitbit tracker and watch provides.
