Inspire 2 not syncing

  1. Fitbit app will not sync steps counts without location services activated.
  2. I have “allow all the time” for location services 
  3. Disabled “use precise location” due to safety concerns
  4. Now Fitbit app will not sync = give me banner notice to

    “Location access required to sync. Fix it”

    Why?

  1. And when I do activate the Precise Location, my phone heats up do to the point where it is almost too hot to touch and it drains my battery at 5% every minute. I uninstalled Fitbit then my phone temperature returns and battery usage returned to normal range.

 

Solutions I have tried so far today (May 28/2022):

  1. Uninstall app from my phone
  2. Clear cache on phone
  3. Clear cache on watch
  4. Reset phone (3 times just in case the first 2 didn’t work)
  5. Reset watch (2 times, same reason as above)
  6. Re-install app on phone
  7. The problem remains: I am a female user of your product and I do not feel safe to have to disclose my precise location to a fitness app in order for my fitness product to work.

         The key point is precise location. 

  1. On my “Location permission” menu on my phone under “Use precise location” the text              reads = “When precise location is off, apps can access your approximate location” 

 

         This has always been toggled off on my phone. Until this week’s software update.

         now my app does not bloody work!
