Inspire 2 screen too dim and battery not holding a charge

I was gifted a new Inspire 2 by my kids. I waited a number of months until my old, reliable, Inspire 2 quit working before bringing out the new Inspire 2. The new model is excessively dim, even though the dim feature is turned off. I can only read it in the dark. Furthermore, the battery only holds a charge for a day. This performance is nothing like the only model. Since it was a gift and I don't have a receipt, can it be returned for reburishing?

Hi there, @AWKam. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your new Inspire 2 is having battery and display issues. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this!

If the screen is too dim, please make sure that the sleep mode or the DND modes are turned off. When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.

When the do not disturb setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The do not disturb icon illuminates in quick settings.

Regarding the battery draining, please see Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Also, the battery barely lasts two days compared to my old Inspire 2 which would last 10 days to 2 weeks.

I was given this new Inspire 2 as a gift but didn't start to use it for about a year after as my old Inspire 2 was working well and the system would not let me use two of the same models simultaneously.

@AWKam Thanks for getting back and for the details provided.

Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have an Inspire 2 and report issues with the battery and screen, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.

Regarding your inquiry about connecting two Inspire 2 devices to the same account, please note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge series, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense series, Fitbit Versa series, and Google Pixel Watch series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time. Hello,

Yes I discovered that only one Fitbit Inspire 2 could be connected to my account at once. That is why I continued to use my steadfast old Inspire 2 until the band connection broke before using the new Inspire 2 given to me as a gift a year earlier by my kids.

Please send the link you mentioned to continue with the process. I didn't see the link in the email.

Despite several emails requesting the link to the form, you have not sent it!

Thanks.
Audrey

Mine is brand new and the screen is so dark I can barely see a thing on it.  I did notice the dim setting is off and sleep mode is off.  I've rebooted it, but still nothing.

Good luck. If you can return it, I would. Mine was a gift a few months back. It sounds like you are having the very same issue with yours as I am with mine. FitBit has been no help. They said they sent a link to a form to return it, but conveniently didn't attach the link, or reply to further requests.
