Inspire 2 won't sync

I have an Inspire 2 that I hadn't used for a few months. I decided to try using it again to track my heart rate during bicycle rides. The clock was completely wrong, so I decided to adjust the time settings in the FitBit app.

The phone wouldn't connect with the device, so I removed the Inspire 2 from my list of devices and went through the process of adding it again.

It wasn't working, so I looked for some information about how to fix it. I restarted the Inspire 2 and restarted my mobile device (a Motorola Moto G7 running Android 10). After that, I was able to get as far as entering the pairing code into the app.

Then the app displayed "Connecting..." at the bottom, with a spinning circle in the lower left corner of the screen. There was also a message: "Sorry, the setup is taking longer than usual. Please be patient. We're on it!"

I let it sit for about 10 minutes with no change in status. I decided to uninstall the Fitbit app and re-install it, and then I tried to add the Inspire 2 device again. That doesn't seem to have resolved the issue either; it's still sitting here with the spinning circle, the "please be patient" message, and no visible signs of progress after 15 minutes.

At the risk of sounding like Ed Gruberman from The Frantics' "Tae Kwon Leap" radio skit, how long is this supposed to take?

Welcome to the community @Askmi-Leitr.

I appreciate all the information that you've shared about the difficulty you're experiencing with your Inspire 2.

If you haven't done so already, please try the following steps that have been useful for other users:

  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on.
  • Open the Fitbit app and sync again

In addition, I recommend that you try restarting your device as suggested in this article.

If you're still having any issues, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

I have the same problem since a week or two or three. Fitbit doesn't sync automatically anymore. Now I have to charge it and while on the charger cable, it does sync again!

What has happend? Was there an update or so?

I too have a Motorola, OneVision, running on Android 11.

But my friend has a samsung a5 running on android and another fitbit device (not inspire 2) has this problem as well!

So I guess it is not related to motorola devices or inspire2  but something with android and fitbit software.

Thanks for helping out! Charging everyday to be able to see your data on your phone is no fun!!
