Inspire GPS Tracker not accurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Up until ~ 04/26/2021 I had no problem with the GPS Tracker route diagram and measured distance on my Inspire.  Since then, neither has worked properly.  The route diagram misses a large section of my walk and connects where the Tracker stopped tracking to where it started up again, with a straight line.  The distance shows ~ half of what it should and of course the pace is ~ double what it should be.

@M_A_M Thanks for joining us!

The Inspire doesn't have a GPS chip, it uses your phone's chip to track this information. So I suggest you clear the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Hope this helps.
