Hello! I got my fitbit for christmas and I love it! However, it seems that there is something wrong with its heart rate monitor. Even while sitting around my house, my heart rate is around 90-100bmp. I know this isn’t correct because I borrowed my father’s Charge 2, which said I had a heart rate of 70bpm, while mine said 100bpm. Is there a way to calibrate it, or will I need to exchange it for another?

Hi @katesirota nice to see you here, welcome! Thank you for sharing your feedback about your new Fitbit Inspire HR.
You have a really good question here. Your Fitbit will calibrate your HR information during the first hours. You can check you heart rate details on the Fitbit app. You will see your resting heart rate and the information during the day. Your resting heart rate is the number of times your heart beats per minute when you are still and well rested. This metric can be an important indicator of your fitness level and overall cardiovascular health. The typical resting heart-rate range for adult Fitbit users is 50-90 beats per minute. Active people often have a lower resting heart rate. For more information, see the Fitbit Blog.
Please note that your Fitbit has been set up with your personal information and its accuracy is affected by personal physiology, device location on your arm, and type of movement. For a more accurate heart-rate reading:
It's best if you continue monitoring your heart rate in your device and if you notice any discrepancy with your actual heart rate you can restart it with these instructions: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Let me know if you have more questions about this.
