Inspire HR Not Syncing Correctly

Hi,

I just got a Fitbit Inspire HR as my Alta HR died.  It set up and was working fine for the first day, but now won't sync.  Originally it was syncing steps, but still stated 'synced yesterday, 10.01pm), even though todays steps were auto updating nothing else was (battery is still showing 'medium' even though it is now fully charged, no sleep data synced etc).  I have turned blue tooth on and off, I have closed the app, I have turned my phone on and off, and I have reset the tracker (by holding the button down for five seconds until the smily face comes up), all in various orders but nothing is working.  Now it is saying 0 steps (but 659 calories??),  the steps are recording on the actual device, but it is just not syncing.  It just has 'syncing and refreshing' with the thinking wheel going constantly.  I have also turned on and off the 'all day sync' and tried 'sync now'.  I believe I am on the latest software version as it did an update when I turned it on and set it up (two days ago).

Any further advice other than all the obvious steps i've already tried?

Thanks

@ClaireM78 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not syncing and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone are you using? Is it compatible? I would like you to retry some of the steps you mentioned but in the following order:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.
