Inspire HR Update

My new Inspire HR is updating for the 2nd time since I received it on 8 July. I started the update last evening. The device was at 59% but the app indicated that it needed to be charged first so I put it on the charger. After it charged up to 72% I started the update. It stayed on the charger all night with my iPhone next to it. This morning it was still updating.  I can’t sync the device because it says it is updating. I believe I got a defective Fitbit. I am NOT impressed with the Inspire HR and wish my Alta HR still worked (that battery completely died after 2 years).  The few extra processes that the Inspire has over the Alta are not worth the hassle & frustration.

I restarted my iPhone and the Inspire did sync.  However, it still shows that an update is available so the update I tried to do last night did not work.  What is going on?
