I'm based in Germany but since I don't speak the language I set my language preference to "Europe (English)". However, for some reason it keeps adjusting the language automatically to German which is incredibly frustrating as I then have to change it back to English, and this is happening at least once a day. I've also tried to set the language to British english as well as changing my personal location to the UK, neither of which has worked. Is the language tied to the selected time zone somehow?

Hi @jomag  This is a weird problem, but I think the answer is in the Website Dashboard rather than the App. Go to the Website dashboard and select the gearwheel icon in the top right corner. Then select Settings. On the page that comes up scroll right down to 'Language by Region/Country' (a fair way down the page) and set that to USA or whatever you want (but not Germany!). I think that will solve your problem, but please come back here if it doesnt.

Hi @NellyG, thanks for replying! That’s what I’ve been doing, so I always select Europe (English) or the UK as a language, but then a few hours later it’s switched back to German again. I also tried to change my country besides the language and set that to the UK, but even despite that the language keep changing back to German. The only thing now tying my account to Germany (besides my actual location, but as the Fitbit doesn’t have a GPS it shouldn’t be able to detect that) is my selected time zone. It’s so frustrating as I don’t understand why this is happening haha!

My next thought is that it might be the language setting on your phone. IOS phones and some others have a primary language amd a secondary language you can nominate in the phones settings. Check that the secondary language (if there is one) is also set to English. Let me know how you go.

Oh that may be an idea! I’ve got the language set to English but the region as Germany, will try to change that to an English speaking region and see what happens. Thanks!
