Inspire HR counting steps inaccurately

I purchased my Inspire HR less than a month ago and it does not track my steps correctly. I have played with wrist placement and restarted is per directions in other posts. My Alta lasted for years, but was cracked. Thought I would take a step up. My husband got the charge 3 and it works great. What are my options?

If you believe that the step count of your Fitbit Inspire HR is not accurate, I recommend you to learn more about how accurate are Fitbit devices checking the information that's specified on: How accurate are Fitbit devices? and let me know if the issue persists. Hello. I have read many tips over many day trying to figure everything out. I did look at you suggested items. Short of actually measuring my strides. My husband has a Charge 3. This past weekend we took several 4 mile walks. His would register 4 miles when mine only showed1 or 2 miles. I had to manually enter to make up the difference.  It doesn't seem like it should be so difficult to track steps. I know I get my 10,000 steps almost daily, yet have seldom had them show. Its disheartening and frustrating that I should have to do so much work to use it. Currently it is a watch with silent alarms, and enjoyment of step goals met stopped with my new Inspire HR.

Last night we took a 3000+ walk as shown on my husband's charge 3. Mine showed half of that at best. After getting home from work I showed only 650 steps from all day. I would like to return this. Do I send it back to the store I bought it from? I'm so sad this isn't working. My walks are what I live for. Monitoring it made it fun and a competition for myself. Now I'm  frustrated every day by it. I get the vibration celebration only from my husband saying he just reached 10000. Please tell me how I return/exchange this. I'm sad, just sad.
