Inspire HR display is black

I have had my fitbit about a year now and have NEVER had problems with it and now all of a sudden it is a problem magnet. First, I tried updating it and my fitbit crashed completely. Now it won't charge... I like to go swimming with it on and after one swimming session it appears that water has gotten into it (the sensors on either side of the green light have bubbles in them) and fried it completely. There is a black screen and nothing else. It seems like it still can get notifications because it vibrates but the screen is gone. Also the green light on the back of it is flashing like crazy.. Anyone else have this problem, or know how I can fix it?

I think you can't do anything yourself. You probably need to see a Fitbit repair store that uses genuine parts to make your Inspire 2 work again. In the worse case, you will probably need to buy a new Fitbit. I am not an expert in watch repairs but I think the motherboard will need to be replaced and the seal that protects the watch from water and dust needs to be replaced. I have a question : did you break something in the watch or the watch received a big impact?

Okay thank you! I might have to do that then. Nothing was broken in the watch and no, it did not receive a big impact. The only thing I could think of in regards to an "impact" was I dove into water with it... but I have done that many times before and it was fine.

@RBDK97 Thank you for your assistance.

@amygfit9 Hi there. Thanks for the detailed information shared.

I moved your post to this board, in an effort to keep the forums organized. I'd like you to restart your Inspire HR and if the screen starts working, follow these tips for trackers not charging

Hope this helps.

Just tried restarting it and nothing happened. The main issue is that it has water damage, however it is supposed to be waterproof... That is why it is not turning on.

Does it react when you plug it into power ?

@RBDK97  there is no Fitbit repair store or Fitbit authentic parts for repairs. The original poster seems to be under the warranty period and a Fitbit moderator has given some helpful links. Let's hope this can be easily resolved.

@RBDK97 As mentioned by our Community Council, there isn't a official Fitbit repair store. However, our Support team will do their best to provide the available options for each user.

Have a good weekend.

Okay thank you for letting me know! I was maybe 3m deep not even. I will trying calling seeing as I have tried chatting 3 times but no one answered me.

Just an update: I have had it plugged into power for 12 hours and it is still unresponsive. It will not restart or flash green anymore, and the water bubbles are still present after 48 hours in rice.

Thank you everyone for your help 🙂
