Inspire-HR doesn't do anything

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just bought Inspire-HR. It won't turn on, doesn't do any functions, can't accept any clock face, does not respond to button or touchscreen; only shows a thin gray line. It will take a charge. The phone app seemed to work fine through initial setup.

I am afraid I can't help in anyway as I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Apart from the line on the screen it seems to work fine when charging but nothing else.

If anyone can help with this it would be appreciated.

Yup, EXACTLY the same thing with me. Only a grey line appears, and nothing else. After a few attempts, each with more than more than a couple hours of "updating" with the app on my iPad, I'm assuming that something is not working. I can't do a thing with it, and I'm starting to think that no one knows what is going on with it. All of the "solutions" just seem to make people run around in circles and i'm starting to see a trend here. So much so that I'm seriously considering taking it back to where I purchased it from and getting a refund and just avoiding anything FitBit related.

Ok so have managed to work out the missing link. When you have downloaded the Fitbit app, which you should already have done. You need to update tracker.

There should be a red banner with instruction on home page. Click on this and the update will take up to 30 mins and when done you are up and running! Mine only took about 10 mins.

I've always done that, but after a few hours, the app just stops, goes back to the main menu and asks to be updated again, which it never does.

OK, an update. Apparently the device comes with outdated software. The thin gray line is the "progress bar" showing that the software is being installed. After a few hours, my device has successfully updated and now seems to be working . It still isn't very user friendly, doesn't come with any instructions, and just is not very intuitive in its function, but then I wasn't born in the New Millenium, either.

Thanks for responding and I hope you have a similar outcome.

Thanks, mine took hours to update. It was so slow there seemed to be nothing happening. It is now sort of working.
