Inspire HR has stopped working

After using my Inspire HR for 2 months and getting good readings, it now shows no heart beat at all and all sleep patterns are shown as “Simplified”. Exercise is not being registered but steps and calorie burns are. Why is this happening? I took it to USA on holiday and was disappointed. Can anyone help please?

Hi @Rachel53. Welcome to the Community Forums. @NellyG, thanks for stopping by to help our friend.

@Rachel53, I'm sorry for my delayed response and thank for bringing this to my attention. There are some factors that may affect the heart rate, such as temperature, stress level, personal physiology, location of wear, and type of movement. That being said, I wonder if the green light on the back is on and blinking. If it's not, please try the following steps:

1. On your device, swipe from right to left and open settings.

2. Look for heart rate and turn it "Off".

3. Allow 10 seconds and turn back "On" the heart rate settings.

Make sure your Inspire HR is snug on your wrist, meaning not too tight or loose; and wait 60 seconds to see a reading on your device.

Keep me posted.

Hi @Rachel53  Try restarting it several times and see if that fixes it. If you continue to have problems, please come back here.

Hi tried restarting several times. Get the smilie face but not the buzz. Still not monitoring heart rate and simplifying sleep patterns. This has been going on since my visit to USA and I’m wondering if this is due to X-ray machine at airport. I’m Diabetic on insulin and medication and need to monitor my heart rate. What do I do now?

I have flagged your post for a moderators assistance as there is nothing more you can try. I have worn my Inspire HR through x ray machines at the airport with no problems, so not sure that would be the cause, but in any case, it is not working. 😟

Hi

Green light is on and flashing. I have tried switching the heart rate off and on numerous times and nothing happens. I’ve also been getting “simplified sleep “ readings since 10th May which is when the heart rate stopped. That’s the day I went on vacation to USA. Hasn’t worked since. I’m upset because it was a birthday present from my son as he’s concerned about my health. I’m a 66 year old with Type 2 Diabetic and am on Insulin and have Dystonia.

Many thanks Rachel53

Hi @Rachel53, I'm glad to hear from you. I'm sorry for the delay in my response.

Thanks for trying the suggestions posted above. I'm sorry that your device is still not recording your heart rate, which has also affected the sleep readings. While this isn't a medical device, I totally understand where are you coming from and appreciate you for sharing more details about it. I've gone ahead and requested a case for you, so our Support Team can give you a hand. They'll contact you via email, so keep an eye on your inbox.

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Thank you for your efforts but I have resolved the problem. I kept switching all the apps on my device off and on and after the fifth or sixth time it worked. Everything is back to normal. I sent you a message but you obviously didn’t get it. Many thanks.
