Inspire HR not automatically tracking any exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my inspire HR 2 weeks ago and it had not once automatically tracked my exercise. I'm unfortunate enough to be on the new app so none of the old posts about this or Fitbits outdated guides are useful. I tried restarting, adding elliptical to recognized exercise, changed elliptical intervals to 10 minutes but none. It just recognizes that I did some kind of cardio activity when I manually add it after the fact via the "track previous". What am I to do now? Return it to Amazon as a defective device? Call Fitbit??

like it overall and it seems ok for pretty much everything else but it's not doing what it's claiming one of it's features is so I feel like I'm not getting my values worth.

I haven't had the syncing issues but last night as usual it didn't pick up the elliptical I did for 20 minutes. So I guess it only picks up when I walk and nothing else. Seeing how this is my 2nd Fitbit now I'm gonna assume just just a buggy line of devices as multiple other threads list this issue. At this point I'm just using it for sleep and step tracking and enter exercise in manually. At the moment I don't know of any other brands that are better but fit bit should cut the prices of all their defective devices that don't actually do the things they are supposed to.

I find inspire will not track my cycling at all. I average 16 miles in my
spin class, but it never recognizes it. It only tracks my steps
consistently. I would never purchase another Fitbit.

Hi Imhyde

I managed to use my wife's inspire HR and luckily she has not updated the firmware since it was purchased.  It is  firmware

34.20001.60.39

We both purchased about the same time but I (stupidly) kept my tracker's firmware updated.  Hence mine stopped auto tracking outdoor bike.

Anyway, I've successfully logged an outdoor bike with the 'old' firmware.

Fingers crossed.  And I won't be updating it.

BTW.  I've been onto Fitbit support.  Absolutely dreadful experience (not to the fault of the first line team)  and have tried to debug this.  I've passed on my findings to them. TBH I can't see anything changing and in light of that, I did return my faulty device for a full refund.  I won't be buying another.

Here are 2 screenshots of the app.  One showing the recent auto recognised activities and the other the firmware version of the device.
