Inspire HR not syncing sleep data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have recently purchased an inspire hr.

All data on the fitbit seems to display fine except for sleep tile which is permanently greyed out. The problem appears to be associated with the Android app not syncing data properly. If i connect the device to my ipad the sleep tile functions properly. If i then reconnect the fit bit back to my phone and resync, the sleep data tile on the fitbit is greyed out once more with no data displayed. The app on the phone appears to be working correctly with sleep data being tracked correctly. The communication from fitbit to app seems fine as data is being recieved in the app from the previous night, yet the tile is not being updated from the android app to fitbit.

Any help would be gratly appreciated

Regards

Reuben

Hi @Fts200, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Inspire HR and try the following steps to troubleshoot the Fitbit app:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi there,
I have a Galaxy s8, as for the other items mentioned. I have rebooted the device, i have uninstalled the device, i have removed and reinstalled the app, i have forced the app to shut down and restart. I have cleared all data and started from scratch as if it was new out of the box. This problem has been since i bought the product. It is not the product itself. As stated previously it is a one way communication issue between the app and the fitbit. The sleep tracking works fine indicating that the device is talking to the app, the tile still remains greyed out, this indicates an app fault not sending the data to the fitbit. As stated earlier if i use my ipad the tile works fine. Also please note my wife has the same issue with her inspire hr that we bought at the same time, she has a galaxy s9.
