Inspire HR on MacBook Pro?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just replaced my very old Fitbit One with a Fitbit Inspire HR. I had been tracking the Fitbit One on both my Android phone and my MacBook Pro. For the new Inspire HR I am able to connect with the the Fitbit app on the Android phone but not with Fitbit Connect on my MacBook Pro? Should I be able to do so, or has something changed with the newer Fitbits such that they can only be tracked on mobile devices?

Thanks for your response. I went through the checklist and made sure that all was good. Even reinstalled Fitbit Connect. Tried to connect via Bluetooth as well as using the wireless dongle (that I have from my Fitbit One). And still no success. The program searches for my Inspire HR and cannot find it; it tells me to try some more things, which I did, and I still cannot connect on my Mac.

For some reason, when I try to connect via Bluetooth the Fitbit does not show up as connected. I know that my Bluetooth is good - it is a brand new MacBook Pro, and the Bluetooth works fine with my wireless headphones.

So I am very puzzled and getting frustrated. I appreciate your attempt to help, though.

Okay - so I went on the Fitbit Chat for some help with this and was told by the advisor (and given a link to an article) that the Fitbit Inspire HR (and other new releases) do not sync on the MacBooks. The data that is collected and synced via mobile devices can be viewed on the MacBooks, but not synced there. So Fitbit Connect, even though I have it installed, and have a strong Bluetooth on my laptop, it will not sync. She also said that older Fitbits like my Fitbit One DID sync just fine on the MacBooks. So this is a change. You need an operating system (like Windows 10) in order for it to work with newer Fitbit, which does not come with the MacBooks.

So I am going to live with the inconvenience since I do like the functionality of the Inspire HR - it's a nice upgrade from my 5 year old Fitbit One.
