Inspire HR receiving call notifications, but text notifications have stopped - Android

I've never had a problem receiving call or text notifications from my Galaxy S10. But starting this morning, call notifications are coming through fine, but text notifications aren't coming through at all. I've restarted my Inspire, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, turned bluetooth off and on, and restarted my phone umpteen times, but nothing is working. I've searched the forum and checked everything I see has worked for others, including being sure that my text messages are set to show the message preview, but still nothing. Are there any other suggestions on how to fix this? It's pretty crucial for me to be able to get these notifications, so I'd like to get it fixed ASAP.

@hmjg Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your text notifications and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

@AlvaroFitbit I've tried all of those things with no luck. I'm receiving all other notifications - phone calls, emails, FB Messenger, etc - just not text messages. I've followed all of your steps, as well as deleting and reinstalling the app. I've double-checked all of my notification settings, and they're identical for my text messages and other apps with working notifications.

I too have Android S10 and the only notification that will not come through is text. I have also done all the troubleshooting steps.

I've tried everything and i also don't get texts and i have the galaxy 10. hope they get this figured out.

I have an S10+. I was getting text notifications and now am not. I have also tried what was mentioned with no luck.

@AlvaroFitbit Have there been any additional updates? Clearly this is a widespread issue, at least with Samsung phones, and it's definitely causing a problem for those of us who chose this particular device specifically for this feature.

Out of the blue today mine started getting text notifications. I didn't do anything different either. Has to be on their end
