Hello!
I've recently purchased the InspireHR. I was messing around with the buttons one day and some how brought up a bar in the tracker screen (no text) curious I slid the bar to the side to see it's effects, it was indeed the screen brightness, however after maxing out the bar I cleared the screen. I have now maximized my screen brightness and am unable to find the sequence of buttons I had pressed to bring up the 'bar' and the brightness is blinding, please help! The function to adjust it does in fact exist just not in any normal menu or explanation in anything online I've searched for weeks.

Hi @Dianajarnevic.
I would first suggest restarting your Inspire to see if that resets the brightness, you can find instructions on how to do that here.
If that doesn't work you may have to try a full factory reset, just remember to first sync your tracker to ensure you don't lose any data. Instructions on how to do that can be found here.
Let me know how you get on.

When you say buttons, do you mean on the device? I can't read my display in sunlight, even after doing a reset. I guess you haven't been able to find that 'bar' again.

Hello,
Yes by buttons I mean the main one. Was clicking it and tapping the screen. Still no luck in the bar appearing again. Don't want to reset as I don't want it to be super dim again.
Thanks for your reply. I do understand I can reset it but don't want the dim lights back, hoping someone will find the feature/ sequences to adjust this.

So, usually, if you tap the screen it will cycle however you can scroll down through the options. Once you have done that you hold down the power button for a second(don’t just press) and you will see your battery percentage and “screen wake” Is that what you are looking for?

Unfortunately not, somehow I came across a sliding bar to adjust how bright your screen is when it does wake and I slid it to the right and maximized the brightness and if I reset it, the brightness will be dim. Thank you for your response however!

Got exactly the same issue with my new Inspire HR. Just had a chat with Fitbit Tech Support who say there is no way to adjust screen brightness. Gutted as I bought it for sunshine holidays and it is unreadable in sunlight. Want my old Garmin back...

I got a response on Amazon regarding brightness on the Inspire and that
person said it is very hard to read in bright sunlight. Probably a deal

Surely that makes it a fairly pointless accessory for any outdoor activity? With brighter (not even very sunny) days, it doesn’t even function as a watch, so little reason to wear it. Did the developers really not think of this??

😢 I was hoping you had solved it. I’ve had three fit bits, none of them can be seen in sunlight. How had Fitbit not sorted this yet!?
Thank you anyway. 😊
That’s a shame, it’s bugged me on every Fitbit I have had, was hoping against hope for the solution.
Thanks anyway.

Hi, i had this problem as well with Fitbit Inspire 2 and i found a fix for my situation.
Mine was in 'Sleep mode' which is a quick setting that i accidentally activated. Sleep mode put the screen in a dimmed mode and mutes notifications, reminders, and the 'wrist flip display on' function.
After turning Sleep mode off, my display was much brighter.
To check that setting, hold sides for 2 seconds, swipe down to 'Sleep' and make sure it is off.
