Inspire HR showing different time than phone's

Hello

I was originally on Charge 5 and yesterday just after a year and 1 month refuses to charge for no apparent reason. So had decided to hop on the wife's Inspire HR as she wasn't using it.

Yesterday after the set up everything was working flawlessly. However today evening I noticed that the clock is wrong. I'm on GMT+8 and it seems to not be able to pickup the time zone so now it's 8 hours behind.

Tried everything from:

Restarting fitbit, removing device from app and reconnect, log out from fitbit app, fiddled with the date, time and units, my own phone's (samsung s22) date time and setting etc. Nothing worked.

Units like calories and steps are tracking just fine, and it's following the timing as per fitbit app (which is correct on Gmt+8 timing). Just the time is 8 hours behind on the watch.

I tried changing the time zone to I.e. gmt+5. This recalculates the calories to reflect gmt5 timing. The new calories reflected in the watch, but the time still did not change to reflect the gmt+5..

Any help on this is appreciated. I've pretty ,much went through all of the topics created for this issue (most were dated 2020) and none of them worked unfortunately.

I am having exactly the same issues. I have tried everything Axtray mentioned.

  • Syncing after fiddling with timezone and unit settings
  • Changing the watch face
  • Restarting the Fitbit device
  • Unpair (removing) and re-pairing (re-adding) the Fitbit device from the Android Fitbit app
  • Logging in/out from the Fitbit app
  • Re-installing the Fitbit app

For what it's worth, I am on GMT+8 too.

Hello there,

I'm a new user from Brazil, recently acquired an Inspire 2 and today I've noticed that my alarm didn't ring this morning, as well the time suddently changed when I woke up.

By that, I changed the time zone automatically, manually, and following the steps of the article below, the time zone changed effectvely, but NOT in America, especially, South America, because moving to Warsow and Cairo (Europe and Africa), after the sync, everything changed as the time zone at these locations, but when I tried Montevideo and São Paulo/Rio de Janeiro, Inspire 2 keeps the GMT (Greenwich Zone, with 03 hours more than my real time zone).

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-5/Incorrect-time-setting-after-changing-time-zone/m-p/5295918...

So, I don't know what happened, but seems like a Fitbit server problem throught the app configuration and I don't know what else to do and even if someone else have this problem, I just want to know what time it is... could someone help me please?

Same here. Thailand time.

7 hours behind.

My Fitbit is showing the wrong time I have went to my Fitbit profile and try changing the country setting to see if the time zone changes but nothing. I then tried to turn the automatic timing on still nothing then I went to my phone setting and change from automatic to manually try changing to other countries, I tried syncing Fitbit again and still nothing. I reboot my Fitbit many times. I forget the device I uninstall Fitbit reinstall I reset my Fitbit to factory settings. I reconnected them. I tried changing the display to see if the time will change. I turned my phone off and on again I log out and login to my Fitbit account.

Same issue here for my inspire 2. It’s so annoying that the time is not sync. Done everything too, restart, delink and relink, nothing works. I’m in Malaysia (GMT +8)

I'm also having the same issue. Seems like the most recent app update broke some of the time zone selection.

One of the reasons I've pick a fitibit product was its forum/support; so far, so extremely good. Thank you very much.
