Inspire HR won't start exercise or clear data

Hi! I'm having a couple different problems with my Inspire HR, and have tried a few things but none of them have worked.

The first is that none of the exercise shortcuts will start - I can navigate to them, and change the goal settings, but they will not react when I tap the start button. I have already tried removing these in the phone app, syncing it, and adding them back. Nothing changed.

So, I went to try a hard reset on it, and found that is also not responding. I navigated into the settings app and the option for "clear user data" is there, but the icon for it is greyed out and does nothing when I tap it (the "reboot device" option is also like this). After this, I tried holding down the left side button to trigger a soft reset - this worked and the smiley face appeared on the screen, but after checking through everything the issues are still there. I've searched for a bit and have yet to find a help article or thread that doesn't tell me to clear user data, which I'm seemingly not able to do.

Fyi the fitbit at the moment has about 80% battery. Also, it is auto-tracking exercise still, I just can't trigger it manually (like I would using the Yoga setting since that isn't auto-tracked).

I am surprised you would find anything recommending you clear user data.  Can you share references?

The main place I saw that was here, but I think there might've been one other as well: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-Inspire-HR/Inspire-HR-won-t-press-start-for-workouts/td-p/43...

A lot of them didn't say that, though, and only recommended removing and re-adding the shortcuts in the app.

Thanks for sharing that link.  I am surprised to see that from a Fitbit moderator but i certainly won't argue with that.
